Publisher's Summary

After 26,000 years the Void Wraith have returned. The Eradication has begun.

Mankind’s outer colonies are disappearing. Without warning. Without a trace. Fleet command chalks the attacks up to pirates, but Captain Dryker of the UFC Johnston isn’t buying it.

Defying command, he leads his misfit crew into hostile territory in search of answers. They encounter the mythical Void Wraith, an unstoppable legend whispered by the first race. After 26,000 years the Void Wraith have returned to begin the next Eradication. Their technology is superior, their motives unclear.

Humanity cannot stop them. Not without help. Captain Dryker’s only hope is to forge an alliance with mankind’s greatest enemy, the savage Tigris.

One maverick captain, an unlikely crew, and an aging vessel are all that stand between humanity and the Eradication.

Fizgig is MIGHTY

I loved this series.
Moments of action (causing me to break coffee cup) to moments of hilarity and amazement like when they were all mind linked inside that Omega.
I can't thank the author enough for another epic tale .
Off to the next.

Struggling through it so far

This series really isn't very good, but admittedly I'm not even half way.

The story could be cool, it's something similar to Mass Effect and the whole cycles of destruction/rebuilding civilisations thing; it's just not that well written. The whole cats thing is cringey as well - a space fairing race that licks their paws to smooth their fur and stuff... and Commander Mow or meow or whatever?? hurrrgh

I'm nearly half way and I've listened to three other books in between listens, this is my last resort book and I hope it gets better...

Ok mindless entertainment

This story has so many wholes in it, really bad writing and absolutely no research. People cannot remember any ranks and for some reason, a marine major can order a fleet captain around.
Another laugh is a key support charter was on a warlords dreadnought but then, with no explanation, he was living on the queens ship and was able to help the main cast. It must of just been his twin.
