A single Coronal Mass Ejection...
...was all it took to bring down the grid.
The world will never be the same.
Russell Cage would much rather work on his crumbling marriage and life than leave town with his best friend. But the fun weekend planned turns tragic when their plane loses power in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Battered and beaten, Russell emerges from the wreckage alone with no choice but to hike through the mountains and find help.
Teaming up with a prepper, and her faithful dog, Max, Russell battles his way back to his family. But on a road littered with roaming gangs and unscrupulous mobsters, reaching his loved ones in time maybe more than he can bear....
The Complete Survive the Fall series is a riveting action-packed story of surviving the end at all costs. If you like flawed, complex characters and rugged adventure stories, then you'll love this post-apocalyptic tale.
A disaster/survival series perfect for fans of Ryan Schow, Grace Hamilton, Harley Tate, Jack Hunt, Boyd Craven, and Kyla Stone.

Not a good finish. But a good story line.
Wish we had found out what happened to Clyde and Rick. Disappointing ending. Good story just a bit repetitive

Regularly poor choice of words
We have just been told the muscle car was a stick shift, a few minutes later Sarah puts it in drive!
They are regularly ‘pumping’ the break (you can only pump a break if it is faulty). She ‘worked’ the clutch, she ‘worked’ the steering wheel. You steer, or you press the clutch you don’t work it.
She ‘palmed’ her wound, I wouldn’t ‘palm ‘ a wound I would carefully check it out.
She ‘thumbed’ the switch. You don’t thumb a switch you press it.
The story was good, I enjoyed listening to it but it was annoying with the constant poor choice of words. If you know nothing about what you are writing about then at least get someone to evaluate it before publishing it.

Not very good
Bit of a disappointment, so focused on the characters, no real feeling of where they were. Not sure if it was night or day most of the time, vocabulary sounded like a synonym search all the time.

Over use of the same words/ phrases
The characters started out strong, however as the story progresses they get more annoying, the same phrases are used, the same words, it’s a bit like ‘yea yea we get it”.
The other part is, these characters got I think one sleep in the what seems to be week or two worth of story. Sarah gets to her apartment has 5mins alone before you guessed it people arrive yet again, not the next morning not a day later just constant on her heel. Can’t just raid a milk bar or corner store and get away with some goodies, like a camping stove and eat a hot meal, nope something is constantly happening, guns running more guns, it get annoying.

Struggle to finish.
Slow story, and the book could be halved and we'd get the same plot. A lot of convenient scenarios placed just at the right time are unrealistic and often make no sense. Choice of wording can get annoying e.g. mashing the brake.

Clichéd Junk
Barely competent writer with narrator not much better.
Keeps using the same hackneyed phrases over and over. Was so annoying.
And try to use devoid of instead of void of, they have slight different meanings.

For teens?
I got the 3 books in a bundle thinking Deal! But I really struggled through the story as every situation the characters got themselves into turned into a disaster. If the world is collapsing into lawlessness, shoot first and ask questions later and you’d think never splitting up would be common sense. Very frustrating to listen too!

I can’t finish it…
I love a good rollicking post apocalypse pulp fiction series as much as the next guy. I’ve listened to many of them. But this one has no story. The characters have no depth and only exist in relation to each other. The biggest problem is that all this seems to be is just one violent incident after another with no depth, no story, no scenery, nothing other than violent incidents.
