Now that archive is preserved in the form of a carefully curated audiobook collection of excerpts from the show. Seinfeld has handpicked the show’s keenest insights and funniest exchanges. Also included is a fascinating oral history that details how this scrappy creative experiment landed unprecedented access to the White House, earned multiple Emmy nominations, and helped lead the streaming revolution.

Comedians aren’t always funny
Disclosure: I’m not a Seinfeld fan.
Never watched the series, didn’t know the characters, can’t relate everyday things in my life to particular episodes in that series (as my wife, her brother, our kids and virtually half the world seems to do).
So I bought this book hoping to LOL for a few hours as these ‘comic legends’ trade wit. And my hopes haven’t really been met.
This book isn’t just about the Seinfeld series - it’s a series of interviews with comedians of all types, ages and genres, most of whose names I know, who occasionally say something truly witty and funny.
Unfortunately I found those moment rare.
So for me this book was… meh!
Sometimes I chortled but mostly I listened lightly amused. It’s interesting, their take on life, and of course these comedians rate themselves highly which, given their track record, they can.
I just didn’t get the full on joy I expected, and certainly it’s not a ‘comedy book’ where I laughed frequently and heartily.
If you’re a Seinfeld fan it might be a different story, so go your own way.
