About this listen
Powerhouse adult fantasy author R. A. Salvatore and Erika Lewis deliver a sweeping, action-packed, romantic pre-Arthurian tale of the origins of magic (and Merlin), perfect for fans of Falling Kingdoms and Seraphina.
Magic needs a spark.
And Maggie’s powers are especially fickle. With no one to help her learn to control her magic, the life debt that she owes stretches eternally over her head, with no way to repay it.
Until she meets Griffin, the king’s champion, infamous for hunting down the draignochs that plague their kingdom.
Neither has any idea of the destiny that they both carry, or that their meeting will set off a chain of events that will alter every aspect of the life they know - and all of history thereafter.
This epic, romantic tale will enchant listeners and draw them into a thrilling world of star-crossed lovers, magic, destiny, and the paths we choose.

oh to be engulfed by a book is such a wonderful thing, every minute of each day waiting till the next moment stollen away to listen to more.
loved the accents and loved the male and female voices to really add depth to the story and characters.
so descriptive down to the minutest detail.
wow.
highly recomend this audio book.
Only query is why this title as it relates to no part of the story?

highly Enjoyable
I quite enjoyed the story and performance. My only small complaint is that the female leads voice was much lower than the males. which meant every chapter I had to adjust the volume.

Enjoyed it but
A great little book for between a series. This book kept me intrigued and interested. I liked the flow and The depth.the narrator’s were brilliant. Found it wound up way too quickly and hurried, it left me with a feeling of being letdown and robbed a Little as it could have been better done.
Would I recommend it yes?
Would I go back a second read I don’t know!!

Unique story
This was a unique story Abby I was intrigued by it from the start. The accents were a bit annoying.

Why oh why will they not use native accents.. a scot for a Scottish accent..
As a scot I had to grit my teeth thru the entire reading.. totally inconsistent accents throughout.. this is the first review I have done and usually am delighted with audible but I really had to say something about this…
