About this listen

A Reese Witherspoon Book Club Pick and an instant New York Times bestseller

'One of the most riveting books I've read in a long time' - Louise Candlish, author of Our House

'Marple meets Succession' – Sunday Times Style

For fans of The White Lotus and Big Little Lies, Ellery Lloyd's The Club is an exhilarating, addictive read, telling a story of ambition, excess, and what happens when people who have everything - or nothing - to lose are pushed to their limit.

There’s no place like Home . . .

The Home Group is a collection of ultra-exclusive private members' clubs and a global phenomenon. So the opening of its most ambitious project yet – Island Home, a forgotten island transformed into the height of luxury – is billed as the celebrity event of the decade.

But as the first guests arrive, the weekend soon proves deadly. It turns out that even the most beautiful people can keep the ugliest secrets and, in a world where reputation is everything, they'll do anything to keep them.

If your name's on the list, you're not getting out . . .

'Smart, topical and immensely entertaining' - T.M. Logan, author of The Holiday

'Glitzy and twisty and tons of fun' – Observer

I loved this book, narration and story so much. Amazing characters, plot twists and concept that will have you finding any excuse to listen to what happens next.

Full of lots of twists!

The book was a bit hard to get into at first as there is a lot of ground work for the characters. However, it got very interesting very quickly and I couldn't stop listening. Definitely recommend this book.

Not bad!

It started off a bit slow (most books do) but I became enthralled in the unravelling of the mystery.

Too many characters long storyline

Story took ages to get into and couldn’t keep up with all the new characters.

Average

Going into this book I thought it might be an average listen but gave it a go regardless. Unfortunately it did not exceed this expectation. It was entertaining enough to finish but I can’t say that I was particularly wowed or shocked throughout. I found the vocal performance to be below average and the American accents were really poor and honestly quite distracting. If you like this kind of genre and read/listen to a lot of books you might get some enjoyment out of it but overall, I probably wouldn’t recommend it.

Really fast paced!

Was a really quick read, with a great storyline all the way till the end. Lots of little plots throughout.

Did not finish.

One of the few books I haven't been able to finish. I just could not get into this book. Too many charachters, confusing jumping in between people and time frames. Story just wasn't grabbing my attention.

Couldn’t connect with any of the characters- all spoiled, all narcissists and a slow meandering story .Tried three times to finish this , just couldn’t
