Publisher's Summary

Even with insurmountable odds, when should an uphill battle be fought? For a dear friend, for a loved one, or for the greater good? This is the main question behind The Chronicles of Farro, a gripping epic fantasy that pits the forces of love and compassion against an unrelenting darkness that will stop at nothing to destroy them.

On the eve of the Celebration of the Great Dragon, the land of Andora finds itself in deep turmoil as the evil Lord Jarden threatens to start a revolution and once again enforce his control. But while hope is waning across the land, not all is lost—the contents of a prophetic scroll may contain valuable information on a creature that can defeat the dark lord and release his control over Andora once and for all. Known only as Farro, the mysterious sphinx warrior of legend, whose kind was exterminated many years before.

An old Osarian Knight, Sala of Antioch, holds the sacred texts in safekeeping but not just anyone can read the prophetic contents within. The chosen one is a slave girl named Tahari of the Shandon, who is facing her own problems in a prison camp known as the Tomblock.

Despised by her masters and struggling to perform her daily duties, Tahari begins to experience reoccurring dreams—dreams that foretell the death of an elven prince she feels strongly compelled to protect. But in order to fulfill this destiny and save the life of someone she has never even met, she will need to break all the rules of the camp, putting her life in grave danger at the hands of the guards and the other prisoners.

Embarking on a journey of faith, Tahari will need to make a dramatic choice—one that could lead to lifelong consequences for the determined young girl. And even with Sala and the elven prince Leondros Goldendragon by her side, she will need to race against the clock to protect friends and loved ones while putting everything on the line.

The trio of unlikely heroes embodies many fundamental qualities that are desperately needed in the world today. While putting the needs of others before their own, they learn important lessons about love and compassion, acknowledging a higher power, and believing above all else that good will overcome.

The result is a gripping work of fiction that is not only entertaining but also deeply inspiring. From beginning to end, The Chronicles of Farro takes the listener on an emotional roller coaster ride—from the highs of a joyous celebration to the suspense of a stomach-clenching mystery to the heartbreak of imminent loss.

But one thing is for sure—this first book of The Chronicles of Farro series redefines friendships and touches the heart with a unique story that introduces listeners to a whole new world and a story that will expand their literary horizons. The young, adventurous, and young-at-heart will enjoy embarking on this epic journey with the characters who populate the land of Andora, hopefully discovering something about themselves along the way.
