About this listen

Tamara Zehr struggles to keep her late husband’s Amish furniture business going while tending to her four young children. She depends heavily on her husband’s two employees, but it quickly becomes impossible to keep up—especially during the Christmas season. Isaac Hochstetler is more than happy to help in any way he can, but Tamara suspects he wants more than friendship from her.

When the mysterious Peter Lapp is roped into helping with the business, Tamara is unwittingly drawn to him. Trying to keep her distance fails miserably, and she is left confused. Isaac feels threatened and begins to pressure her. And then her late husband’s aunt moves in unexpectedly to help.

Tamara tries to juggle it all. She dreams of a happy Christmas, and she dreams of seeing smiles on her children’s faces. Is it too much to wish for?
