About this listen
"Lily?" My stomach dropped as a tall, dark-haired man stepped into view. Had he been hiding between the trees? "No. Sorry." Gulping, I took a step back. "I'm not Lily." He shook his head, a satisfied grin on his face. "No. You are Lily." "I'm Summer. You have the wrong person."
You utter freak! I could hear my pulse crashing in my ears. How stupid to give him my real name. He continued to stare at me, smiling. It made me feel sick. "You are Lily," he repeated. Before I could blink, he threw his arms forward and grabbed me. I tried to shout, but he clasped his hand over my mouth, muffling my screams. My heart raced. I'm going to die.
For months, Summer is trapped in a cellar with the man who took her - and three other girls: Rose, Poppy, and Violet. His perfect, pure flowers. His family. But flowers can't survive long cut off from the sun, and time is running out....

Suspenseful Kidnapping Story
This story about Summers kidnapping and forced incarceration with three other girls all giving their flower memes …
Rose,
Violet,
Poppy,
And Lily,
was an interesting premise.
However I felt the performance let this audio book down.
At times, while describing Colin’s., aka Clover’s, most heinous acts, the narrator seems almost bored in the telling
The whole book was read in the same monotone fashion, which, in turn, reflected on the suspense.
While the four girls being kept by Colin were being forced to perform for him, and witness. his most despicable acts toward other women, the narrator was, very flat and matter of fact about it all , which, for me, took away from the atmosphere the author was trying to create 🤷🏻♀️

Old favourite
Many years ago, I discovered a book authored by Natasha that instantly captivated me as I delved into its story, thoroughly enjoying every moment. Recently, I was pleasantly surprised to come across the audio version of this book, which evoked a wave of nostalgia as I indulged in listening to it. This was, and still is a favourite of mine !

Terrible voice. Sounds like a computer
I have read the novel and loved it. The voice ruins it. I couldn’t get 2 minutes in
