This book is an inspiring tribute to the remarkable life of Sir Sidney Kidman - the Cattle King.
At the age of 13 Sidney Kidman ran away from home with only five shillings in his pocket. He went on to become a horse dealer, drover, cattle buyer and bush jockey and he also ran a coach business. Above all Kidman created a mighty cattle empire of more than a hundred stations, fighting droughts, bushfires, floods and plagues of vermin to do so. His enterprise and courage won him a huge fortune and made him a legend.

Great listen, definitely recommend
Very easy to listen to and follow. Very interesting. Loved the extra sounds, such as birds and horses hooves

left me wanting more
narrator was awesome. sometimes background sound effects too loud making narrator difficult to hear. would have loved to have heard what happened after he passed away.

Background noise
The story would be better without so much bird noise and hooves and music, maybe toned down a bit at times it was louder than the narrator

A story that is only half told . Could have had more detail off the people he was involved with.

Truly AMAZING

Great Story!
A wonderful rendition of our Australian history. Sidney Kidman was a truly remarkable man.
To be honest, the music in the beginning made it difficult to hear the narrator, it was just too loud. I totally enjoyed the book though.

bit short
Good listen but I was expecting a longer more detailed description of Kidman's life. and the sound effects can be overpowering at times especially the bloody cockies.
