Publisher's Summary
A mystery/road trip/buddy comedy/action adventure from the author of Second Hand Curses.
A dance club full of bodies. Cause of death - a mystery. The lone survivor - a man, raving like a lunatic, wearing only a deerstalker hat.
Now, the man who calls himself Sherman Holmes is being studied like a lab rat by a top-secret government agency. How is it he can be barely clinging to reality one minute - yet be a seeming genius the next? Within his brain might just be the greatest scientific breakthrough of the millennium, if anyone can figure out how to access it.
Enter the agent code named Watson.
Once a rising star, a deadly betrayal sent him spiraling into uncertainty and paranoia. Now saddled with moving Sherman to a more-secure facility, he must prove he’s still up to the task. With enemies on their heels, a whole country to cross, and Sherman ranting in his ear, the job proves to be more of a challenge than Watson ever anticipated.
With Watson’s experience and the bizarre insights of his own twisted mind, Sherman just might survive. But can Watson survive Sherman?

If you're a Sherlock fan...
Im a old school Sherlock fan. While this is closer to the modern Sherlock movies style adventure - Drew Hays definitely is redefining it in his style. As allways his charicter development kneecaps the boring alfa male stereo type with his literary baseball bat and props in more realistic male charicters that are easy to warm to and laugh ir cry with.. Or at.

Love it - Watson & Holmes ver entertaining
I really loved the story & how it developed. All the characters were interesting, especially Agent 221/Watson & Holmes.
I enjoyed the banter between the two main characters & how their relationship grew from bodyguard/asset to friend.
I think the narrators did a great job & I would certainly listen to more books narrated by them.
I look forward to reading the next book in the series & recommend it to anyone who likes Sherlock Holmes Adventure Mystery stories.

Interesting and captivating
I love most of Drew Hayes books and I'm always worried with a new kind of story that I'll be disappointed, but this was fantastic

Interesting! Moving! Gripping!
Absolutely loved this story and was sad when it finished. so happy to see the second book. As good as Sherlock (BBC tv show), Elementary (us tv show), all the other Sherlock Holmes variations. Actually I'm going to say it's even better than one of the books I read in the past that was authorised by the estate for someone to legally write a Sherlock Holmes story. This one is better! Much much much better.
