About this listen
Finding herself in a new home in Brighton, Kate Bradbury sets about transforming her barren backyard into a beautiful wildlife garden. But while she's doing this Kate's neighbours continue to pave their gardens, the wildlife she tries to save is further threatened and she feels she's fighting an uphill battle.
Is there any point in gardening for wildlife when everyone else is drowning the land in poison and cement? If the dead could return, what would they say about the land we have taken, the ancient routes we have carved up, the wildlife we have lost?

Unexpected tears and remembering why I do this job
OK so I'm a gardener,
I work long hours in people's gardens , but my favourite ones are the wild ones .
this book made me want to let the grass grow and get over grown stop and look at the bugs like I did as a kid.
I love it
it's hard to get garden books by people in my gen,
hit on the head about a lot of what we go about in the world,
and hit hard with my family with parents getting older.
my love of the garden comes from a similar place .
thank you for this right when I needed it .
come for the garden book crying in the mulch pile.
