About this listen

Nellie Rivera is trading traffic for tranquility. When the quiet streets of small-town Montana beckon, she leaves Denver behind and moves to Calamity. It would be the perfect adventure if not for Cal Stark.

When her archnemesis dares to show his face one Saturday morning, declaring he is moving there too, she vows to make his life a misery. The town isn’t big enough for the both of them and besides…

She was here first.

Cal has been a thorn in her side since high school. He might have bullied her back then, but she’s not a modest teenager anymore and has learned a few plays of her own. If all goes to plan, she’ll run the former pro quarterback out of town within a month.

There’s only one problem. Cal has the same plan. He wants Calamity bad enough to pull out all the stops. And after one kiss, she realizes that he doesn’t play fair.

Great read

Was surprised by this book. Loved both narrators. Good for the heroine to strong and accomplished.

Wowwww 💜💜

So much pain and hurt and Miss understanding between these two . If only they had a chance to speak freely and act in their feelings it would have been so painful for them. Arhhhh 😝😝 I especially loved listening to Connor and Cindy who did a fabulous job bringing this story to life ✨💜💕💜✨

DNF the audio, poor female narrator

First of all, I love Willa Nash/Devney Perry and have many of her books on audio and have read most of her books. I have also diligently been waiting for this book as Cal(MC) was getting redeemed as a character (please read first 2 calamity books for his mentions) and love the qwirky world that Willa built in Calamity as well as the colorful characters. Unfortunately the audio was a let down... I gave up after an hour and DNF.

Audio Cons:
The female narrator- her pacing is awful, sounds like she's whispering everything, voice is grating.
*The pacing between the f pov and m pov is not done very well, I had to constantly adjust the speed between povs; it detracted from the story.
*Since the female narrator reads in a whisper, I had to constantly adjust the volume
*The female narrator representation of Nelly(FMC) is poor, I had to stop before I hated the character.
