About the Creator

Jeffery Deaver is an international number-one bestselling author. His books are sold in 150 countries and have been translated into 25 languages. He has served two terms as president of Mystery Writers of America, and was recently named a Grand Master of MWA, whose ranks include Agatha Christie, Ellery Queen, Mary Higgins Clark, and Walter Mosley.

Listeners follow a developing cat-and-mouse game between Paul Offenbach, a twisted sociopath, and Special Agent Constant Marlowe, who is set on avenging the brutal murder of her friend by Offenbach. The story wasn't very engaging until a long way in

I didn't enjoy this much. The story wasn't very engaging until almost the end, and the narrator irritated me constantly with her strange inflections that made her sound dismissive of everything said or done, like everyone were idiots.
