About this listen
The book of Genesis is God’s autobiography and the foundation upon which all revelation rests. The purpose of this book is to give the origin of all things, including the cosmic order of the universe and the covenant relationship between God and his people.
Speaking the word from his eternal dwelling place of light, God fashioned everything from nothing, perfectly displaying his awesome wonder. We will never be able to take the mystery out of creation, for a God who is incomprehensible in his greatness accomplished it.
One of the overarching themes of Genesis is God’s blessing. His highest order is not the earth or the cosmos, it is man and woman, made after his kind, to be containers for his glory. Genesis showcases God’s redemptive heart toward the world - a theme that can be traced throughout the rest of the Hebrew scriptures.
"When God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was completely formless and empty, with nothing but darkness draped over the deep. God’s Spirit swept over the face of the waters. And then God announced: 'Let there be light,' and light burst forth!" (Genesis 1:1-3)

Amazing clarity and insight
After reading my KJV for 30 plus years and hearing Brians testimony on the why of this version of this bible. That is Jesus told me to and im bring obedient to this.
What l really love about the Passion translation is that l comprehend whats being said the first time around. l dont need to struggle with the Elizabethan english of yester year. l also really love the notes of the passion translation. l get insights and understanding that l havent before.
l dont care what all Brian's critiques say both cessassionists, educated and uneducated. All that matters is my understanding of the word. To that point l am buying his print and audio versions.
God bless Brian Simmons for his faithfulness and his obedience to Jesus.

Fantastic Translation of Gods Word
As someone who appreciates the KJVs poetic nature and accuracy - this version is perfect.
The author has painstakingly translated each word from the original language of Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic into English in a way that is so clear and precise.
I love my KJV but it was translated into English 600 years ago and only updated 4 times before being left to become harder to understand as English language has changed over time.
I struggle to get into paraphrase versions like the Message as they feel like a cool youth pastor trying to convey the general gist of it lol.
This being a true translation from original languages into English is so much more accurate and trustworthy. Big fan!

PRETENDING TO BE A BIBLE TRANSLATION
PRETENDING TO BE A BIBLE TRANSLATION, not the bible rather a rewriting of the Bible then a translation. I was horrified when I found out I was deceived. Because I was very into the TPT. SERIOUSLY I SPEND OVER A THOUSAND on passion "translation" products such as TPT audiobooks, TPT physical individual books, TPT individual digital books, individual physical study guides, physical New testament books and I gifted TPT books to others.
To come out of deception:
The best resource I would recommend is a real Bible translation.
The secondary best resource I would recommend is listening to Mike winger Bible thinker passion translation series, where he has multiple individual scholars, that review the passion translation.
