new fan here!
my first time listening to RAYMOND, I will definitely buy another one of his. Lots of twists, good characters and I had no clue who it was!
As for the narrator...you cannot go wrong with him, I have not so secret crush on Angas 🙂

Good but formulaic
i love a maverick Scottish DI and this one is shaping up okay. Not quite 5 stars as he's a bit of a cliche -- and very earnest. The inevitable bleak backstory (which comes off as a bit of a digression) is even more bleak than normal.
The story wasn't perfect -- the prime suspect being a bit implausible. Hoping the series can lift a little.

More twists and turns than a tornado!
Terrific story, lots of plot twists.
Started a little slowly, but a great ending.

A Great Read

Hopefully another series to add to my list.
I so enjoyed both the storyline and the narrator. The story twisted and turned as well as introduced you to the team. A nice change definitely wanting more.

Braw Beginning
I throughly enjoyed the storyline and the introduction to the characters. The narration was up to Angus King’s standard that’s always very good. Will look forward to more from this author .

Really enjoyable read
I felt like all the characters were out of KD Kirk’s DCI Jack Logan series… the names were so similar too! John Loman sounds a lot like Jack Logan. And Angus King narrates both series… anyway.. the stories and style are VERY similar. So if you like one then you’ll like the other.
