About this listen
She couldn't believe that he wanted to meet her. He was famous. She was a nobody. Finally, someone could see how special she was....
When the body of a teenage girl is found in a London hotel, DI Patrick Lennon is mystified. Nobody saw her or her killer enter the hotel, and there is no apparent motive - until a second teenager is found and Lennon realises somebody is targeting fans of the world's biggest boy band.
As Lennon struggles with both his home life and his rivals on the force, the pressure to catch the killer before he strikes again reaches fever pitch. And when Lennon makes a terrible mistake that ends in disaster, he finds himself in a race to save not only the lives of more teenage girls but also his own career.
Exploring the darkest depths of the entertainment industry and the terrifying dangers of social media, The Blissfully Dead is a new masterclass in tension from the #1 bestselling authors of From the Cradle.

Teen story ?
Not the best written novel, simple, cliched lots of angst. It was about teenagers but seems to be written by teenagers?

The most unlikely story ever
This police station is the most dysfunctional ever.
Book 1 saw two senior detectives brawling in the office - of which, nothing happened. No action was dished out.
Book two, saw both dysfunctional detectives still serving at the same station and this time the Chief Inspector assigns both to work together. in real life, one of those detectives would not be at that office. The scenario just breaks the bounds of believability even for a piece of fiction. Then enter the Seargent who is the biggest wimp in the world, disloyal in the extreme and just comes across as a novice - a total novice. How he became employed in that line of work is anyone's guess.
Our poor poor junior detective. Calls her senior in the evening. Does he think "she needs my help - after all, it is evening and she is calling me". No No No - he says I'll call you back and never does. The lady ends up dead. Our senior detective feels responsible - he was.
Enter good luck and nothing but good luck, and the murder is solved.
I read the 2nd book just to give the author a chance. It is the last that I will read.
