Critic Reviews

"A practical, straightforward book that will be a great help to those who have bipolar illness, as well as their families. I could not recommend this book more highly." (Kay Redfield Jamison, Ph.D., author of An Unquiet Mind)

simple truth

says it like it is. I have bipolar type 2 and the majority of the book was very relevant, sometime too much so.

worth a read/listen if you or a family member is diagnosed with the disorder.

a must read / listen!

This is a must listen for anyone with bipolar. Super helpful for those with the disorder and for those supporting someone with it. For those with it, you are greater than the power of your ups and downs, your highs and lows. I'd adopted a lot of the practical steps in this book before listening to it. My life has improved dramatically. The waves do come crashing in still but I've learnt to surf them a lot better. Good luck on your journey.

This book has shone a spotlight on all the little nuances about the disorder which are hard to source elsewhere. Excellent and realistic examples have been provided to give the reader context and a greater understanding of the illness and how it affects us and the people around us. The authors provides trusted, simple, hopeful and practical ways to manage the disorder. An excellent read for anyone who suffers from the disorder or anyone with a loved one who suffers from the disorder. I’m grateful for the information provided.
