The Bands of Mourning are the mythical metal minds once owned by the Lord Ruler, said to grant anyone who wears them the same powers that the Lord Ruler had at his command.

Hardly anyone thinks they really exist.

Critic Reviews

This is my favorite novel of the second Mistborn series so far, and I am eagerly anticipating the next.
The story starts with a very steampunk feel, turns into a Western, then into a political thriller, before shifting into the type of adventure Allan Quatermain would kill to be involved in. This book really brings out how the author can play with genres and stereotypes to create something where there is great gravity to the underlying narrative, but it doesn't stop it being a darn good romp and a thrilling adventure.
multiple twists and turns await you inThe Bands of Mourning and they are just as shocking. Sanderson plays another ace and leaves us with no doubt he'll play a few more in 2017's conclusion.

I'm sure most people including myself could see one of the twists coming before even starting this book but it was still enjoying non the less.

Another great addition to the Wax and Wayne series

This book left me on the edge of my seat. It was humorous and intense. Once again Wax and Wayne's relationship left me needing more I cant wait for the next edition to this series.

This was not the series I expected to follow the original mistborn books - but I liked it. Very imaginative and quite funny in places. If you liked this series you will probably like the Sandman Slim series by Richard Kadrey.

Not what I expected but I liked it
