This was a salve for my mind, my soul and my heart at a time when I was trying to reconcile how I wanted to parent and how I was parenting which I had realised was from a known place of fear of scarcity and strict upbringing but had no idea how to change me.

The book is incredible, I applied some of the techniques but I need to practice!
Sometimes I feel I go back to my default behavior and I think I need to review this book at least every year!
Nowadays, many books about parenting are saying the same concepts and it’s a matter of who’s words is settle in your heart. For me, this book was amazing! I prefer someone else to read it like a professional narrator! But it’s just my opinion.

So many aha moments. Dr Shefali illustrates how when we become conscious and aware of how and why we are reacting that there is little need for parenting techniques, tips and tricks. It’s such a relief to realize this. Thanks you Dr Shefali for your wisdom and can’t wait to read his book again and would recommend it to everyone!

This is the best parenting book I’ve ever read (and I’ve read plenty)! I hung off every word! I loved all of Dr Tsabary’s advice, including her examples involving real life cases of clients’, as well as her own, experiences. Every parent should read, or listen to, this book. I will - again and again!
