About this listen
When raised to the level of art, seduction, an indirect and subtle form of power, has toppled empires, won elections, and enslaved great minds. The Art of Seduction synthesizes the legacies of civilization's greatest seducers - from Cleopatra to JFK - with the philosophies of important intellectuals on the subject, including everyone from Freud to Kierkegaard and Ovid to Casanova, and the classic literature of seduction. Robert Greene identifies the rules of a timeless, amoral game and explores how to cast a spell, break down resistance, and, ultimately, compel a target to surrender. The Art of Seduction is an indispensable primer on the essence of one of history's greatest weapons and the ultimate form of power.

Very very good
The best seduction book I've ever read. It gets very in depth into the psychology of seduction at a deep level. Highly recommended.

I love the historical references.
I loved this book.
From what I learnt about being manipulated because I'm a softy. Interesting to see it from my own relational experience, also the parts I have played that have come naturally to me.
If you want a deep meaningful relationship this isn't the book to learn from, but a good tool in looking for signs of being manipulated and played. Could be confusing if you read peoples behaviour by applying this to the letter.
Very interesting and thought provoking.

not for snowflakes
this book is hard hitting and cuts straight to the point. it gives you a thorough understanding of games people can play - which doesnt necessarily you having to play those games. but, also, you being aware of how other people can twist and turn their words, behaviours and strategies to get what they want from you.

Informative and honest
Eye opening and breaks down what seduction really is, the concept the steps the mentality and the action required. Through practice and application the average guy can seduce anyone

A Devilish resource
One word sums up this book… Machiavellian.
Yes this book can be leaning to the sociopathic side of the spectrum in how it’s breaks down seducing “victims” whether that maybe love interests to rivals.
yet for an individual with good morals and is interested in building their knowledge in social interaction or desire to be more social (introverts) or even people who need more help than other i.e those who are neurodivergent.
I believe it to be a fantastic resource.
