About this listen

At the peak of his career and success, Ari Meisel nearly killed himself from exhaustion and overwork.

He had to make a choice: He could let his "success" destroy him physically and mentally, or he could find a better way to live. He spent the next few years redesigning his life from scratch.

Ultimately he found the way to reduce his workload by 80 percent while actually increasing results and success. Furthermore, he could spend time on what matters most: his family.

This book describes his method.

Using Meisel's revolutionary Optimize, Automate, Outsource approach, you will learn how to take almost anything you do and make it work smarter instead of harder. Modern methods like the 80/20 rule, the 3 D's, and multiplatform repurposing let you build a high-powered, traditional-style "success factory" that requires only one employee to run.

Less work, more results, more happiness.

Some great lessons in managing time

Great narration and some great tips on managing time, though it's not a one size fits all and you'd have to adapt it to your situation. Some advice like using IFTTT is great though it would take an unexperienced person some time commitment to get started. Overall great listen though.

Practical tips for working smarter not harder

Filled with practical tips such as choosing your focus time, using automation tools and virtual assistants and task batching, the book introduces a new way of managing time- tailoring our time management to suit the schedule of our body and mind. This book has changed the way I perceive and manage time and dramatically improved my efficiency in my work and study. Instead of packing too much in one day and becoming despondent, I now learn to schedule the harder tasks during my best focus hours and the admin tasks during the brains low times. Some strategies also tie into other areas like email management, such as the 3Ds- do,delegate and defer. Very helpful book with intuitive tips and insights, I would recommend it to anyone wishing to do more things in less time.
