Bangs, Blood and Victories.
Scott Mariani writes epic novels. They are well-written, descriptions are visible and you always lose yourself in the story. This was about a boy who started out poor but instead of becoming rich and a good man; he became rich, greedy and insane.
The narration was very well done and easily understood.

Excruciating performance by reader Jack Hawkins
Reader Hawkins leeches out most of the enjoyment of this book by a cringe-worthy and excruciating depiction of supporting characters. Hawkins doesn't seem to understand that absolutely NO-ONE speaks the way he represents the supporting characters in the story.
