About this listen

Tom Salem is a reporter searching for answers after a failed suicide attempt. Soon, he is on the trail of someone believed to be secretly helping people all around Kern County in California's Central Valley. He finds others who have been similarly helped, such as an elderly man saved from his burning home, a young girl lost in the woods for days, and a shopkeeper saved from a robbery. All incidences have one thing in common: a mysterious, heroic stranger dubbed "The Angel" by locals.

What Tom finds is nothing like he expected. As he edges closer to the truth, the reporter becomes part of the story when he is forced to come to terms with his own "demons".

When The Angel goes from whispers on the Internet to full media exposure, can the mysterious figure survive the onslaught of public scrutiny? Or will the person who "just wants to help people" fold under the pressure?
