Trollope’s work never disappoints. What does, however, is Flo Gibson’s narrative. Mispronunciations of English words from the time and a peculiar way of presenting the characters manners of speech and accents really detracts from the overall experience. I don’t think the works lend themselves so much to the American accent either, sorry.
