About this listen
The revered Christian author whose best-selling classics include The Divine Conspiracy and The Spirit of the Disciplines provides a new model for how we can present the Christian faith to others.
When Christians share their faith, they often appeal to reason, logic, and the truth of doctrine. But these tactics often are not effective. A better approach to spread Christ's word, Dallas Willard suggests, is to use the example of our own lives. To demonstrate Jesus's message, we must be transformed people living out a life reflective of Jesus himself, a life of love, humility, and gentleness.
This beautiful model of life - this allure of gentleness - Willard argues, is the foundation for making the most compelling argument for Christianity, one that will convince others that there is something special about Christianity and the Jesus we follow.

Helpful and innovative defining of ‘Apologetics’
I found the title of the book very alluring and discovered a great deal of content very persuasive and a challenge to the contemporary understanding and practice of Apologetics. The title does an excellent job of justice to the content and is an exceptionally good summary of Dallas’ call to believers in their engagement with a hostile world. There were two or three occasions when my own doctrine and Christian walk were uncomfortable especially when it came to how the Lord speaks to us. Dallas’ encouragement to give, as I understand it, more an open heart and ear to ‘general revelation’ is a tough one for me but not sure if I did understand correctly. A very encouraging book well worth the time to read and listen to to strengthen your faith and equip you for engagement with the world in a Christ like manner. Thank you also to the narrator for his important contribution.
