About this listen
James Hillman was a past master of alchemical psychology. This field uses metaphors derived from ancient alchemy to elucidate deep structures in the creative imagination. Creative processes are not random. By studying alchemical psychology we come to understand ourselves and other humans in surprising ways that frequently diverge sharply from the habitual understandings we have unconsciously absorbed from the cultures in which we were raised. These new awarenesses can engender unexpected new vitality and wonder.

Couldn’t hear lots of it as it was a poor recording of a workshop and participants contribution was inaudible. Ty
The idea of alchemy as detailed varying metaphors of the challenges and wonder of being alive.

Alchemy as a way to understand soul
Hillman is brilliant here. Using Alchemy as a way ro understand the psychological states we find ourselves in WITHOUT relying on psychological language/terms. Hillman is dynamic. The audio is a littlr clunky at times but the wisdom here is well worth it. Brilliant. Listened several times ❤️⚡️

eh
very poor audio quality, it's like a recorded phone conversation, I've heard many books on here and none were like this.
