About this listen

New York isn't ready for Britain's most dangerous ex-assassin....

John Milton has finally found a place to escape the bloodshed: off-season Coney Island. No tourists. No special ops. Just peace and quiet. But when a local boy witnesses a grisly murder, Milton can't resist investigating.

Milton uncovers a vicious drug kingpin and a group of crooked cops from a notorious precinct known as The Alamo. Against such dangerous foes, Milton's quest for redemption could come to an end.

The 11th book in the USA Today best-selling John Milton series delivers thrills, action and twists you just won't see coming.

Ah! Mr. Dawson you have blitzed it again!

I have a selection of authors whose work I endeavor to purchase. Mark Dawson is definitely near the top of that list.
I have followed John Smith from episode to episode, always amazed and enthralled at the predicaments he is caught up in.
This particular book was shared via audio with my adult aged son, as we drove across Inland Australia. We were both caught up in the story, as the distance just pealed past us.
I find Mr Thorpe's voice impressions for the various characters impressive and helps to keep my focus on the storyline.

Good guy John Smith

Great story with an underlying emotional pull. Action aplenty as JS takes on the drug king pin and the local corrupt cops. Who would have thought cops could be corrupt! JS of course focussed and resourceful. He is the hero many of us would like to be.
