Publisher's Summary
Sit back and relax. I will sing you the song of women.
What women? you ask.
All women, I answer.
Even me? you ask.
Especially you, I answer.
And what will you sing to me? you ask.
Ah, my love, I will sing to you of hidden truths.
Yes, hidden truths and secret secrets.
On a nameless train somewhere between here and nowhere, a woman and a man sit facing each other. She is a journalist there to interview him. He is the world's greatest seducer. Thus begins The Alabaster Girl, the sensational new novel by Zan Perrion.
We get to join the two on this train ride, a fly on the wall, as the seducer recounts his life, philosophy, and startling insights, interspersed with excerpts from his new book: The Alabaster Girl, the book within the book.

Good heart but ultimately very boring
I knew Zan from back in the day. I still have some CDs somewhere with his stuff on it. The concepts are decent enough and so I thought this book is must. I really struggled to get through it. Its written like a romance novel. Women eat this stuff up but 99% of men will be totally bored out of their brain. To add insult to injury its 18 hours long. I think there is some great stuff in here but that stuff could be condensed down to about 45 minutes. The rest comes across as pretentious and even bragging, he is totally blind to this though.
This comes up on repeat to this effect- I held her in my arms as the soft breeze sways her hair. 'Already a tear rolling down her cheek. I have been here many times before. She utters words barely audible to my ears. She knows I am a free spirit. Her body shaped so perfectly pressed against me. Her hair so soft like the angels or yesterday. We shall make love one last time before I must go fourth. She will find someone else to ease the burden of her lose. I will never forget her as I never forget any of the women who have been in my life.'
If you like reading overly descriptive stories about women he's slept with who cried when he left them then go right ahead. There is no lessons here and no knowledge to gain from it. I really wanted to give it 3 stars because there is some good insights but they are so few and far between I had to be honest. I didn't give it 1 star because there is no deception in the book just misguided. This does win the prize for being one of the most boring books I've ever read/listened.
