Loved it
What can I say but I loved this book. Sir Derek Jacobi is wonderful reading it. It's made up of 5 books and these have been remastered. All but one of them has excellent sound quality, one is a bit muffled, but still worth listening to.

Great value
Six books for the price of one, combining mystery and mediaeval history, narrated by one of the greatest voice actors of our time. Great choice!

Wonderful story telling by Sir Derek Jacobi!!
I was absolutely drawn into the world of Brother Cadfael...Ellis Peters has created such a believable world, whereby human nature, in both its best and worst, is embroidered into a colourful tapestry of stories..and was difficult to leave, once the tales came to an end. Sir Derek Jacobi brought the words to life with such apparent ease and I could envisage all the characters as if they were in front of me! Wonderfully done!

A well chosen selection of Brother Cadfael tales
Very enjoyable listening. Sir Derek Jacobi is a brilliant reader as he is a brilliant actor. Ellis Peters wrote very clever plots and clearly understood human nature very, very well. The historical settings, the little details of life are fascinating, as is the way each tale is woven into real historical context and events. A great pleasure all round.

A marvellous collection. Well presented by a gifted reader and an absolute privilege and pleasure to listen to. Derek Jacobi truly brings Cadfael to life.

The title says it all. I have always loved the Cadfael stories, and this recording does them full credit.
