About this listen

It is bedtime. Jack and Mole read then dream of moons and stars.

In the night, a moonbeam carries them to the crumbly moon, where they meet the Pops, who change color and hover and fly.

The Pops scoop up Jack and Mole and take them to play in their playground. Later, they picnic on star soup and moon cheese and mole munches slugs.

Soon Jack is sleepy and longs for home, when Mole disappears. Moonbeam returns and says they must return to Earth. But Jack is tearful, he can't leave without Mole.

Then a young Pop finds a line of molehills and a dusty Mole, and Jack laughs in relief.

The Pops promise to visit Earth on a rainy day, and Jack and Mole fly home on Moonbeam's tail.

Jack wakes up in bed, and looks at his hand. He is happy to find it speckled with moondust.
