About this listen
Audiences and critics alike succumb to New York Times best-selling author Stephanie Laurens' Regency-era romances. In Temptation and Surrender, strapping gentleman Jonas Tallent auditions managers for the inn on his family's estate. Though he is at first flabbergasted by the idea of a lady - much less a fetching one - running the inn, Jonas finds that Emily Beauregard makes a tantalizing case.

Best story to date
Another great story in the series. Excellent back story, this writers imagination is fantastic. Read this one in a day very hard to put down. Well narrated. Highly recommend.

Improbable tale of finding an ancient family treasure.
While the characters are fine and the voice acting from Simon Prebble is, as usual excellent, the prospect of finding an ancient treasure to resuscitate the family fortune is very far fetched. Emily Colleton persuades Jonas Tallant to employ her as innkeeper of The Red Bells Inn while she searches the village for her family’s treasure. Her revival of the inn as a social centre for the village is a great success while she also finds acceptance with her brother and sisters as a gentlewoman down on her luck. She and Jonas enjoy a budding romance as she desperately seeks the lost family treasure. Others also seek such riches. A pleasant story but not one of Stephanie Laurens best.
