About this listen
A simple, straightforward guide to the fundamentals of technical analysis.
Technical analysis is a collection of techniques designed to help you make trading decisions in securities markets. Technical Analysis for Dummies helps you take a hard-headed look at what securities prices are actually doing rather than what economists or analysts say they should be doing, giving you the know-how to use that data to decide whether to buy or sell individual securities.
Since the publication of the first edition, listeners have been faced with many changes, such as new interest rates, looming bank crises, and adjusting market climates. This new edition provides an updated look at unique formulas and key indicators, as well as refreshed and practical examples that reflect today today's financial atmosphere.
- Determine how markets are performing and make decisions using real data
- Spot investment trends and turning points
- Improve your profits and your portfolio performance
With straightforward coverage of concepts and execution, Technical Analysis For Dummies shows you how to make better trading decisions in no time.

Definitely not for dummies
I enjoyed listening to this book and it has given me some fantastic and priceless information that I did not know about and that I’ll be using for my trading.
However a couple of things stopped me from giving this a 5 star. This book comes under the dummies brand but is very technical and can be hard to understand at times. Especially if you have no idea about the markets.
Secondly, the narrator read very quickly which made me have to rewind many a time. I eventually slowed down the time on the app and that helped.
Thirdly, you need to read this book when you’re in an environment where you can truly concentrate. You simply cannot jump in and out of the topics spoken about
To conclude, this book is very information rich and should be read fully, little bits taken out from here and there to be a better trader and then referred back to when needed in my opinion.
All in all great book, just make sure you have a basic understanding of the markets and trading before reading ✌🏽
