gob smacked
Just when. you think Manda may be writing a tamer story so as to wind up to the next character that tragedy has befallen, she does an about face and hooks you in with an unassuming member that you think will be interesting bit not as eventful as some.
nope!!! I have to admit, this is the first book I actually cried in. I get all choked up, find it hard to speak or swallow, feel a terrible ache and even ponder quietly with little interaction, after some stories but the revenge inflicted on the h had me gasping, struggling to listen and crying.
this plot addresses taboo issues once again and demonstrates that no matter what walk of life you are, your first instinct always seems to be what you see.
and such is this book with Dart.
An unassuming H that we know little about but has been taught the biggest and most basic of prejudice ever.
The appalling character of the ex and the horror inflicted upon the h had me sobbing as I kept hoping manda would write,...and here come the cavalry...nope I had to feel it all.!
we get the insight into the next book, which addresses yet again another taboo, but manda writes this topic so sensitively and respectfully that it lifts me, as the reader back to light, love, and hope.
Logan and Sierra, I don't know how they read this and translate to words without breaking...its gripping and wrenching, and I have nothing but praise for these 2 narrators.
so looking forward to a
what I know will be another gutwrenching story for Heart.
