Rule one: Don't look at the demon.
When I arrived at my uncle's house, I expected my relatives to be like me - outcast sorcerers who don't practice magic. I was right about the sorcery, but wrong about everything else.
Rule two: Don't listen to the demon.
My uncle chose a far deadlier power. He calls creatures of darkness into our world, binds them into service contracts, and sells them to the highest bidder. And I'm supposed to act like I don't know how illegal and dangerous it is.
Rule three: Don't talk to the demon.
All I had to do was keep my nose out of it. Pretend I didn't find the summoning circle in the basement. Pretend I didn't notice the shadowy being trapped inside it. Pretend I didn't break the rules. But I did, and now it's too late.

decent effort
a decent book, filling in some plot holes for this universe. But not as good as the other Guild Codex books.

Great story, perfect voice acting, really enjoyable listen highly recommend! My favourite from this author.

Loved it
I stopped reading the spellbound series to catch up with this story as I can tell they will both intertwine and I really loved it. It’s made a nice little break from Tori and her story.

Got to love Demonic Mayhem.
Read this book as a standalone or as a part of the Spellbound Series. However, I found having read previous stories did enhance the experience.
This Book is a little Darker than the Spellbound Series but in no way detracting from the Story.
Written in first person, this tale tells of an unlikely match between a shy bookworm and her Daemon.
Another easy listen by the Author but with less of the beautiful people and sexual tension of the Spellbound Series but all the action and we'll placed humour.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can safely say I'm now a bit of a fan of the Author and the sub-genre.

Another great story..
Really good, and she's dropped a lot of the trashy romance talk and focused on the story.. she never needed that crap to be enjoyable.

Great start to a new series
Great spin off from the Spellbound series. Dangerous situation with so many ways it could go, can't wait for book two.

AWESOME!!
This book is so awesome, I loved it so much! You can just tell there is going to be a romance in the next book because this book I think showed some hidden hints. I am so excited to read/listen to the next book. I listened to this as an audiobook and loved how Cris Dukehart made the characters come to life. I have listened to her before and am still waiting to be disappointed but so far that hasn't happened. Also, another enjoyment was watching how Annette Marie structured the whole story and brought the characters through their personalitiesto to create different relationships. I love how Robin creates all of her relationships so well and absolutely fell in love with the demon in this book! I definitely don't regret reading this book and would recommend it to those who like this genre. I loved this book!!

Annette Marie has done it again!!!
I love this book so much!! Can't wait to see what Zylas and Robin get up in the next books.

I absolutely love the narration! I always love it when the narrator puts in effort to make each character sound different and Chris does a really good job of it here
