A superlative performance of well-curated tales

As a latecomer to Lovecraft, I have explored his works through Audible. Some collections are performed well, others are pedestrian. This version narrated by Rupert Degas is perhaps the best. Mr Degas' diction and phrasing are uncommonly good; and he adroitly manages the difficult task of sounding of the time, without sliding into caricature or ridiculousness. At some points (especially in the last story) Mr Degas' voice and style sound eerily like that of Richard Burton. 'The Hound', 'Cool Air' and 'From Beyond' are my favourite readings. I hope Mr Degas is commissioned to do more Lovecraft; he is a rare talent.
