Publisher's Summary
From New York Times best-selling author Kristen Ashley comes the new book in her River Rain series, Taking the Leap.
Alexandra Sharp has been crushing on her coworker John “Rix” Hendrix for years. He’s her perfect man, she knows it.
She’s just not his perfect woman, and she knows that, too.
Then Rix gives Alex a hint that maybe there’s a spark between them, that if she takes the leap, she might be able to fan into a flame. This leads to a crash and burn, and that’s all shy Alex needs to catch the hint never to take the risk again.
However, with undeniable timing, Rix’s ex, who broke his heart, and Alex’s family, who spent her lifetime breaking hers, rear their heads, gearing up to offer more drama. With the help of some matchmaking friends, Rix and Alex decide to face the onslaught together....
As a fake couple.

Great
Loved the story thought the performance of the narrators was excellent and I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks.

mostly boring - continuation b grade ashley
I apparently still live in hope that her latest book will be a return to her quality writing and storyline of old. I have now really learned my lesson, including need to read more reviews to see more comparisons to her older novels. this just dragged, again - too much unnecessary detail that was boring, too much silly drama about people you don't care about. in her earlier books, details were interesting and entertaining addition s that somehow bolstered the story and characters, and drama was more in relation to characters you came to care about and wasn't silly and immature sounding. narrators seem also to have gotten ott over time, some over acting. bleh
