Great story, awful narration

I love Graham Masterson's books, but he really needs to listen to his narrators before allowing them to narrate his stories. This woman used very little, if any, inflection in her narration. if it wasn't such a great story/series, I would have returned it. Please Graham, vet your narrators!

Excellent story but

I enjoyed the story and thought it well written but I did not like the narrators delivery. I thought it very drab and uninteresting

wrong narrator

I have listened to all of the other stories in the series...not quite in order due to the missing numbering of some books...however this narrator does not suit as she is hesitant and sounds like she is new to narrating which spoils the flow and strength of the story.

Most interesting

Found the story initially difficult to get into, once I did I was hooked. Also loved that the reader simply read the story. This allowed my own imagination to develop the "voices" for myself. Do read this book.

Terrible terrible narration

I have begun this book but don’t know if I can listen to this narrator until the end. It’s like listening to a schoolgirl reading out loud. She even has a young schoolgirl voice. She makes the book boring because there’s little inflection just a dead pan monologue.
Caroline Lennon’s narration was fantastic and brought the story to life and gave each character a personality.

Riveting masterpiece

Masterton wittily crafted this topsy turvy tale following Maguire on her latest case. It’s mysterious and gritty, and the author seamlessly takes us through the whole investigation as well as exploring Maguire’s personal life and emotions as a female detective. The voice actor is fine, not as good as the previous but you get used to it very quickly. Yes there are religious connotations but I believe this is true to the nature of Ireland where the book is set. So keen to listen to more.

Another cracking Katie Maguire story! @

The narration was terrible, sounded like she was in high school English class. Story good

Narrator

Great story but the narrator was very basic, she sounded like she was just reading the story, not showing any emotion for the characters
