About this listen
He knows what I need even when I'm too shy to ask for it. That's why I call him daddy.
Kieran Murphy is an Irish mob boss and one of the most powerful men in Boston. When he walks me home, people step aside out of respect for him. He could have any woman he wants. So why does he have eyes only for me?
Is it how he has to lift my chin with his fingers to keep my eyes level with his when he scolds me and how I cover my bottom instinctively when he tells me that I've earned a spanking? Or is it how I quiver at the thought of everything I'm too ashamed to beg him to do to me and how hard I come for him when he does all of it and more without me even having to ask?
Maybe it's all of those, but I'm pretty sure there's something else too. I think he loves how I blush when he makes me call him daddy.
Take Me, Daddy is a standalone novel and the first book in the Boston Kings series. It includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes.

Not for me, Daddy
I want to preface this by saying I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, so please know this is entirely subjective and based on my personal preferences.
If you’re into spice (mostly spanking and not much else of interest) with very little plot, you might enjoy this book. However, for me, the whole “little girl” and “daddy” dynamic was a hard no. One or the other, maybe. But together? It didn’t sit right with me.
The story started strong, and I was hoping for an interesting plot. *Mild spoilers ahead.*
The FMC is married to a vile abuser and escapes with her three-year-old daughter to Boston, where she meets an “Irish Kingpin” (as he calls himself). Kieran initially came across as a fierce protector, but despite knowing the FMC had been abused, he still wants to punish her. Sure, she doesn’t necessarily protest, but something about it just felt… off.
I also felt there wasn’t enough character development to make their actions believable or realistic (though “realistic” might not be the right word here). And honestly, I spent most of the time worrying about Leah’s daughter, Emma. While I get that Leah is doing what she can to survive, leaving her three-year-old alone down the block while she works, even after meeting someone of means, just felt wrong. Then she continually leaves Emma with others to get spanked by “daddy” again.
Kieran initially shows interest in Emma, which was super endearing, but as the story goes on, his only focus seems to be spanking Leah and sending Emma off with babysitters. His character had promise but lacked depth. I would have loved more about his day-to-day life as a mob boss, and Leah’s backstory definitely had potential to be more compelling. But the fact that she so easily accepts Kieran’s work without him ever actually telling her himself? Another miss for me.
Overall, this book had a lot of potential, but the execution fell flat.
