About this listen

From the ashes of Arsuf rises Sir Thomas, blood of the Warlord.

When his father is killed at Arsuf protecting King Richard, Thomas is knighted. His hopes of inheriting his family's manor are dashed when Prince John takes power in his brother's absence. With a handful of men, Sir Thomas is forced to travel to Sweden where he joins the Jarl Birger Brosa fighting the Estonians, Karelians and Slavs. Fighting in the harsh environment of a Baltic winter makes Sir Thomas and his men stronger. There he learns of further treachery and dishonour among Bishops, Kings and Princes who value thrones more than men.

Love these books

Another great book by Griff Hosker and Narrated very well by Marston York as always.

I was initially a bit gutted because I had listened to all the books of the Anarchy Series that had come to Audible and l am currently awaiting the rest and have jumped onto this series (Border Knight book one).

I believe this is a continuation of Anarchy Series to a certain extent and make references to that throughout the book so now l am working my way through this series.

It’s a little annoying that I will have to go back to Anarchy Series when/if they come out on Audible and wish they had been released in order.

Overall though, I love Griff Hosker and the books (can’t think of a bad one I’ve read) I can’t get enough, hopefully he keeps releasing this series and the Anarchy Series and writing new ones because I’m hooked.

I should just have a Griff Hosker subscription. Unsure if he reads reviews but thank you.
