About this listen
'Deeply sweet, charmingly funny, and the perfect amount of sexy' - Tarah Dewitt, author of Savor It
She's the city girl who refuses to be saddled with a man. He's the cowboy who wants her anyway.
The last thing Ada Hart needs is a man to take care of her. Not anymore. After failing out of her interior design program and the disaster that was her short-lived marriage, Ada clawed her way up from her rock bottom. Now, the only person she trusts is herself, and that has gotten her further than ever before. She has her own business, and one of the largest ranches in Wyoming just hired her for the most important project of her career.
When Ada arrives in Meadowlark, she finds herself in a dive bar where she can't seem to shake the eyes of a handsome cowboy. When she leads him to the back of the bar, he leaves her with a kiss that most people can only fantasize about. She almost regrets that she'll never see him again...except it turns out he's her new boss.
Weston Ryder is a happy guy. Even happier now that the mystery woman from the bar is the interior designer for his dream project on his family's ranch. He feels like he hit the jackpot. Too bad she wants absolutely nothing to do with him outside of work. Ada is convinced the pull she feels toward Wes will go away, but Wes can't stop thinking about her. Even though walls are coming down around Rebel Blue, Ada's walls are firmly in place.
Can they make it through this project without giving in? Or will they both put their dreams on the line for a chance at love?

Small Town Romance 🥵
Aah, I did not think I could love this series any more, but Ada and Wes were perfection 🥰
I loved how we had a “he falls first” vibe. The tension was 😘 The spice was spicy! And I enjoyed how different this storyline was, but how it also felt comfortable and relatable to the Cowboy x Small Town vibes I love and crave 🥰🥰
Desperate for Book 3

Enjoyable listen
My only complaint is the word ‘stupid’ is used way too much in her books. Please stop.

Loved this book
I loved the second book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series. Ada and Wes are a great couple. If you like low angst, cowboy, ranch setting and spice this is for you. I loved the communication between these two. Such an easy read and brilliant narrators. Great support characters too in Clementine, Luke, Teddy, Gus and of course the boss of the ranch Amas. Loved it.

Unbridled romance!
City girl, country boy - what a way to start a cowboy romance!
Ada and Wes might not be Emmy and Luke, but I still really enjoyed this story. Sage has fantastic character development, and is extremely respectful in the way she deals with big topics such as depression. Both Ada and Wes had big personal issues to work through in order to be the best partners to one another, and I loved how this growth was done both individually and together - not just being reliant on each other.
Sage has a beautiful ability to blend atmospheric storytelling with heartfelt emotion. Her vivid descriptions bring the Wyoming landscape to life, making readers feel as though they are truly joining Ada and Weston for the journey of their love story amongst the sweeping plains and rugged mountains. The romance between the protagonists unfolds naturally, with moments of tenderness, some awkwardness and a lot of swoon worthy passion!
"Swift and Saddled" is a fun and fabulous read for fans of cowboy romance, offering a perfect mix of adventure, heartfelt moments, and the timeless allure of Western charm. Lyla Sage proves once again why she is a nailing this genre, delivering a story that captivates from start to finish.

Potential but fell flat
Wes has depression and middle child syndrome but really all we see is a good-looking happy cowboy who likes Bad girls not those around Meadowlark. Ava could have been better developed, she devolves into a sad sack out of a bad marriage but it seems her self esteem issues extend into adolescence. I'm not sure why she suddenly has a 30yo car after having no car in her marriage and is such an excellent planner but drives across states in a hunk of junk with nothing on her credit card!
And the time given to setting up 2 future books and reflect positively on the last couple makes these 2 appear as boring side characters in there own book.
I should have checked out goodreads reviews for purchase before I spent the credit.
Also lots of telling reader not showing reader (listener).
performances where good.
