Very different style but incredibly entertaining. Much better to listen to it as Bryan Brown nails it!

Surprisingly good.
It took a while to get into the almost flat, journalistic delivery style of Bryan Brown's narration. The undemonstrative reading of his own writing almost masked the brilliance of his storytelling. I listened to the book in one day, on a long drive. Hauntingly familiar and disturbing at the same time. Small stories. Big themes.

A Visceral Experience
I really loved this collection of stories. The stories are gripping, challenging and different. I really struggled with Brown's narration to begin. His fast and featureless style left me wanting more in the first story. Yet by the third story I came to love his pared back approach and was kind of sad to leave it all behind at the end. Thanks for creating such an interesting collection Bryan! I loved it!

Moving stories, narrated in a fascinating way. Quite a few swear words, but little, if any cursing.

very clever
It took me awhile to warm to Brian's narration. I'm used to less of his voice during movie performances.
Once done, I really became engrossed in the stories.
It's very clever of him to knit the characters and stories together.
I didn't see that coming.

Enjoyed the story's. but had to slow the speed.
I enjoyed the storys and the narration after I slowed the speed to 0.8 of full speed
