A good story but too sweet

A little too syrupy for my tastes and I would have loved to see Jake being more of a bad ass (not that we didn't get any, I just would have loved more)
A great story of two people at different stages of healing coming together to continue healing with each other's support. A little light kink thrown in at the end was very nice as well.
I loved the pop culture references but neither character was ever shown taking an interest the types of movies or media related to such things which made such references seem out of place.
