About this listen
It's not easy for a young gay artist like Jordan Carson to grow up in Jefferson, Wisconsin, where all anyone seems to care about in middle school and high school are the sports teams. But Jordan was lucky. He met Owen Nelson in the second grade, and they've been BFFs ever since. Owen is a big, beautiful blond and their school's champion wrestler. No one messes with Owen, or with anyone close to him, and he bucks popular opinion by keeping Jordan as his wingman even after Jordan comes out at school.
Their friendship survives, but Jordan's worst enemy may be himself: he can't seem to help the fact that he is head-over-heels in love with a hopeless case - his straight friend, Owen. Owen won't let anything take Jordan's friendship away, but he never counted on Jordan running off to find a life of his own. Owen will have to face the nature of their relationship if he's to win Jordan back.

Sweet, big-hearted sports romance novella!
High schoolers, Jordan and Owen have been BFFs since the 2nd grade. Together they write and illustrate an online comic series. However, they have two big differences: Owen is a champion wrestler while Jordan plays no sports and … Jordan is gay while Owen is not. As usual, Eli Easton has written a story with a big heart. This is a friends-to-lovers romance about two very decent guys. Jordan’s unrequited love for Owen hurts and it’s understandable that he tries to distance himself to stop the pain. Both boys have important inner journeys figuring out who they are and what they want out of life. While the ending is entirely satisfying, it’s also written in a clear-eyed, realistic way and that was perfect. Audio narrator Tristan Wright has a young voice that perfectly matched the boys and, apart from a couple of repeated lines that failed to be edited out, his narration was absorbing and right on the money.

Good story, bad narration
This is one of my favorite Eli Easton stories but the narration was just terrible. The narrator read the whole story in a monotone voice, and didnt differ between each character or convey any of the emotion I know this stoey contains. There was little to no pausing in the narration, it was like he was racing to get through it. I highly recommend reading this story, not listening to it.
