About this listen
Sunshine. It's a nickname I haven't heard since I lived on Woodbury Lane, where the houses were pretty, but the secrets? Deadly. It was a pet name known only to the Bullets. Rough, violent, and ruthless, they laid claim to the town - and my heart.
I wasn't supposed to fall for a boy from the wrong side of the tracks‚ especially not four of them. But they were the only ones who understood that sometimes hell hides in plain sight. I was the girl with all the conveniences a privileged upbringing could provide. The world only saw two loving parents and a pristine home life, but I knew the truth. And it was going to get me killed. So I disappeared from everyone and everything I'd ever known. I changed my name and my appearance, but the scars I carry, they're still the same.
The Bullets are all grown up now, too - a crime boss, a pro fighter, a bounty hunter, and a federal agent. Life took them in different directions, but they once shared the bonds of a brotherhood forged under the harshest conditions. Together, they were fearless. Brutal. Unstoppable.
I'm praying they can find that unity again. If I'm going to survive this, it'll take everything they have. Because that's the thing about running from the past. It catches up with you eventually.

Loved it!
First off, let me just say that the narration was Amazing! This does end on a cliffhanger, so if you want to read the whole series, do make sure that you have access to the next book. I loved listening to this as an audiobook. The story itself was also amazing, I have read some other books by CoraLee June and have been blown away every time. I am seriously left speechless after this book because it has so many components that make it amazing. Summer is the female protagonist who ran away (from something that will be revealed in the book) and has been found by her childhood friends five years later. This is a reverse harem romance which are some of my favourite books, and this one definitely didn't disappoint. The whole romance revolves around Summer in this book, but having not read the other books, I can't speak for those. I love the nickname 'Sunshine' that the boys give her because after having read it, I totally understand the nickname and stand by it. Summer has a best friend that is introduced at the start of the book, and he is seriously one of my favourite characters. His personality is just so adorable and something I would definitely want in a best friend. If you read the blurb and think you will like it, I would definitely recommend this book to you, it is definitely a favourite of mine. Enjoy!

***Brilliantly Written***
The character and world building is phenomenal, that's why I'm not surprised that this series is being brought to life in the small screen. Sunshine and her bullets, the dynamic between them is intense to say the least, the continues flash back doesn't take the fluidity of the storyline, it just flows seamlessly between the past and the present. Jo Raylan voice is sultry sexy as sin and brilliant as Benjamin D Walker.
