Nice easy listen

A great captivating story
A lovely story woven with romance and intrigue. The beginning of a series and it’s off to a great start. Looking forward to the next one!

Beige at best - sorry
I simply don’t understand how the crescendo of the plot is was seen as such ‘terrible news’ and would be a ‘bad thing’ since the opening of the story was all about how little money their local businesses were making. Ridiculous.
I endured this book to the end, but will not be seeking out any others, nothing interesting happens, the plot is beige at best, and then the thing that could turn it all around is quashed and made out that it could destroy everything, perhaps I missed the point?

Struggled to see through to the end
I really wanted to like this book, as I love a summer romance, but nothing gelled for me. The characters were all over the place. Lorrie's age wasn't appropriate, in my opinion. She needed to be about 5 years older. I see there are 2 more novels in the series, but I will not be wasting my time or money. Make your own mind up, but I thought this was terrible all round. Disappointed.
