Erst als sie erkennen, dass der Schlüssel zu den Verbrechen tief in der Vergangenheit liegt, scheinen sie dem Täter endlich näher zu kommen. Doch der spielt in einem Netz aus Lügen, Geheimnissen und Verrat geschickt Katz und Maus mit den beiden Kommissaren.
