About this listen

When Brianna Donahue was three years old, her mother mysteriously disappeared while farming in Merriwell Bay, Western Australia.

Now she works the same land while almost single-handedly raising her two children, and when her son goes missing she is forced to face the fact her marriage has huge cracks in it.

Meanwhile, over 2,000 kilometres away in South Australia, Detective Dave Burrows sets off on an investigation that will impact Brianna’s world and test her relationships with those she loves most.

Could not put it down!

I loved the farm setting, identifying with the landscape and life.
The story had a number of threads which had me guessing how they would come together till the end.
I am glad Detective Burrows made an appearance in this story, though I am not sure when he divorced his previous wife.
Highly recommended with satisfactory resolutions.

Not bad

I realise now these books are more rural crime drama books than drama romance which is what I originally thought by the description.

These aren't my typical genre to listen too or read but I don't mind them.

Narrator does a good job and is well articulated.

I have just brought another book to read because I like Dectective Dave Burrows and his character draws me in.

i really enjoyed the way the story unfolded in the level of suspense. it was also interesting that the book had a second story as a subplot.

A problem in the reading.

There was a problem half way though the book as the narrator read the same pages 3 times. The story was ok the the narrator made it interesting.
