About this listen
Moving into a rundown Victorian house with a vampire living in the basement isn’t as bad as I thought, but things go from weird to weirder when a badly injured gnome collapses in my back yard.
The surprising part? It’s my friend Nin’s long-lost grandfather.
Since he’s unconscious, we can’t figure out who’s chasing him or where he’s been all these years, but if we can’t help him, he’ll die.
To make matters worse, there’s a new dragon in town. A female dragon. Everyone knows females are more dangerous than the males, and this one takes an instant dislike to me. It seems that she wants to date my mate, Zav, and has his mother’s approval.
If I can’t avoid her wrath and find a way to cure the gnome, Nin’s going to lose her grandfather, and I’m going to end up deader than the vampire in the basement.

Never try an Australian accent again please
Entertaining reading, romance was a bit long winded in coming along but otherwise normal urban fantasy. Narrator excellent but please, Aussie's don't have an Irish accent, unless your really familiar, don't try it again, it was cringe worthy attempt.

Thoroughly Entertaining but for…
I can’t stop the mental eyeroll with the heroine thinking sex must come before love and marriage and saying it out loud. It’s ignorant.
Then I’ve just barely managed not to cringe with the terrible Jamaican and Hungarian accents. And now my ears are assaulted by a confused Australian crossed with a Irish New Zealander, to the point I may have to read this one instead of listen if this character features too heavily.

Fantastic except for the Australian accent
The story and narration were wonderful as usual. I'm not sure if non-Australians would notice, but the Australian accent wasn't right and it was really difficult to listen to. It was a blend of how Americans sound when they try to do an Aussie accent, blended with an Irish accent so it was pretty jarring. Otherwise fantastic.

Great Read
Wonderful, apart from the Australian accent, which is more South African or even Irish. Definitely, not Australian! Why do people have so much trouble with a Australian accent?

Excellent Series
Great series. Very entertaining. The reader is very good….however, her Australian accent was atrocious and not even close.
