About this listen
Of all the people who could have seen me when I was at my most vulnerable, it had to be him.
Caleb. My stepbrother and the golden child of our messed up blended family. We barely know each other, but for some reason, he takes care of me when an incident at the club leaves me helpless and alone.
He hates me as much as I hate him, but something about his bossy attitude and unflappable calm soothes me. I don't want to want him, but no one has ever made me feel the way he does.
Hooking up with my enemy is stupid as f--k. So is breaking my one-and-done rule for him. I know this, but whatever is between us will eventually burn out, and I can go back to my solitary life and forget all about how amazing it feels to let someone else take control.
Gray and Caleb's story is an enemies-with-benefits-to-lovers romance between stepbrothers who discover that, sometimes, the person you hate is the only one who can give you what you need. Expect lots of steamy encounters, tons of dirty talk, and reluctant feels as these two enemies learn the truth about themselves and each other. It is the first book in the exciting new Crimson Club series but can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Loved it
I’d read this book, and I’m pleased to say the audio book does a great job of conveying the story. Great performance and production. The story itself is a low angst romance that is still full of tender and occasionally taught moments. I’ll be back for more in this series!

Story of Gray and Caleb
This is a stepbrothers to lovers romance, featuring Gray and Caleb and is the first book in the Crimson Club series.
Gray is an adult entertainer at the Crimson Club and Caleb is a nurse, how do they know each other? Gray’s bio dad is Caleb’s step dad. They don’t like each other but their dislike for each other is misplaced, what they don’t know is the dad has created this animosity between them by telling them lies upon lies. I don’t like the dad.
Gray and Caleb cross paths when Gray is roughed up and ends up in the ER. Caleb then takes him home to look after him as he can’t look after himself.
Caleb ends up taking his bestie, Sloane, to the club to check out Gray’s routines and hands down Sloane’s response when she sees the twins for the first time doing their performance would have totally been me. Omg I would love to see their routine.
I loved this book and I love Willow Dixon’s writing style. The building feelings, the care, the spice, love it all. Did I tell you their relationship develop is super spicy? Oh la la!
I seriously love, love, love the narrator Alexander Cendese. His voice is so animated, I have listened to so many audiobooks because he is the narrator. Aiden Snow is also amazing, his voice is *chefs kiss. Aiden and Alexander together, ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!
This series follows on from the Never Have I Ever series. You can read this without reading that series but I highly recommend reading NHIE series too, it’s awesome and there is character cross overs.

A fun read
This was my first time reading Willow Dixon. I really enjoyed it but realised around chapter 10 that I may have been missing something so started to do some digging. I found that the Crimson Club Series must have been tied to the Never Have I Ever series: specifically Grey and Caleb must have been introduced in Book 4 because I felt like I was just expecting to who who West and Eli were. Having not read any of the other books, the epilogue was incredibly difficult to follow - it felt like just a mash of names being thrown around and very little idea of who they were. But other than that it was a good read. Very low angst and a decent amount of time to get to know the characters. On that note though Grey seemed a lot more developed than Caleb was - he seemed also 2D in comparison to Greys depth and emotion but he was likeable enough and their chemistry was great. I recommend this book but I feel like I need to go back and read the other series before I continue forward from here.
