About this listen
I started my first business when I wasn’t even 19 years old. I did this for the wrong reasons, which were because I wanted to be like my parents, because I wanted try something new, and because I wanted to be my own boss. As well as that, I was a full-time student and already working part-time. It was great to begin with; I had fun. However, after a while, I lost interest, and I didn’t have the passion for my little project. I didn’t invest enough time and effort, and I didn’t do anything to promote or to expand my business.
As it happened, at one point, I left everything, took a gap year in my studies at university, and went travelling. I ended up living in another country, and I didn’t think about that failed business adventure, at all.
Now, 10 years later, looking back, I know that I made the best decision. During these years, I started a few more businesses, most of which are still running now (I stopped one of them as I didn’t have enough time or energy to deal with it). I learned a lot during those years and gained invaluable experience - some by making mistakes and some by learning from other people’s mistakes. Some mistakes were very costly and hard to recover from, some were just a bit embarrassing!
In this audiobook, I have provided 55 short tips that I learned over the years. These tips are for everyone, regardless of where you are with your business, whether you are just thinking to start, have already started, or now run a well-established business. Some tips might be relevant to you, some not so much. All of these tips can be used for any type of business during any stage of development.
Whatever you decided to do, make sure you enjoy the process and take care of yourself. Without further ado, buckle up; you are in for a fun ride!
